FAQ
Good questions.
Straight answers.
An early look at where we’re going, not a promise that everything is ready.
The basics
What is Permia?
Permia is a product in development. The vision is a simpler place to turn a plain-language idea into an app you own, with building, hosting, and access controls brought together.
Can I use it to build an app today?
Not yet. This website previews the product direction; it isn’t a live app builder. The walkthroughs are illustrative, and a public launch date hasn’t been announced.
Who is it for?
People with an idea and not a lot of time for setup: small business owners, creators, teams, and builders who’d rather focus on what they’re making than on the tools around it.
Do I need to know how to code?
The goal is to make getting started approachable, even if you aren’t a developer. We’re designing around plain-language instructions and simple controls, while keeping the underlying code available.
Ownership
What does “own it” mean?
The intended direction is for your app’s code to live in a place you control, so you can look at it, change it, or move it. The exact ownership and export experience will be defined as the product develops.
Can I leave and take my app with me?
That’s the goal. Permia is being designed so leaving is possible, not painful. Specifics will be shared before early access.
Access and AI agents
Where does Wayleave fit in?
Wayleave is the planned access-control layer. It’s intended to help tell people apart from automated traffic, apply your rules, and support paid access for verified AI agents when you choose.
Why would an AI agent pay to visit my app?
More and more traffic comes from AI assistants acting for someone. If they rely on your content or service, Permia’s direction is to let you set terms for that, including a price, instead of leaving it to chance.
Will this slow down my real visitors?
The aim is for people to get through quickly while rules are applied in the background. Performance will be a core focus of the prototype.
Timing and cost
When will it launch?
We haven’t announced a date. The roadmap shows the current stage, and early updates are the best way to hear first.
How much will it cost?
Pricing hasn’t been decided. It’s one of the open questions on our roadmap.
How can I get involved?
Leave your details on the early updates page and tell us what you’d build. Ideas from early visitors help decide what Permia does first.
Still curious?
