The short version
- The Site has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking cookies.
- If you sign up for early updates, we store your name, email, the role you pick and anything you tell us about your idea, and use them only to send you Permia updates.
- Like any website, the service that hosts the Site and the service that provides its fonts receive basic technical information when pages load.
- We don’t sell personal information.
Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Gibran Corbin, doing business as Permia (“Permia,” “we,” “us”), handles information in connection with the Permia website (the “Site”). Permia is a product in development; this policy covers the Site only. Any future Permia product will have its own privacy terms.
Information we collect
Information you give us
Only what you enter in the early updates form: your name, email address, the role you choose, and, if you add it, what you’d like to build. Signing up again with the same email updates your details rather than creating a second entry. We store this with Netlify, our hosting provider, and with Sendable, the service we use to send email.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, your browser shares standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, and the date and time. This information is received by:
- Our hosting provider (Netlify), which serves the Site’s pages and files, stores early-updates sign-ups, and may keep server logs for security and reliability.
- Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry), which delivers the Site’s typefaces from its servers. Your browser contacts Fontshare directly when pages load.
We don’t use these logs to build profiles of individual visitors.
How we use information
We use the limited technical information described above to deliver the Site, keep it secure, fix problems, and understand whether it’s working. If you sign up, we use your details to send you the Permia updates you asked for, to learn what people want to build, and to invite you to early access if you’re interested. You can unsubscribe at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Server logs held by our providers are kept according to their own retention practices. We keep your sign-up details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your choices and rights
You can use the Site without giving us any personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to object to certain uses. To unsubscribe or make a request, email us at the address below. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the Site and any information connected to it. No website or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Visitors outside the U.S.
Permia is based in Texas, United States. If you visit from elsewhere, information your browser shares may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy as Permia develops, including before any Permia product collects more than this Site does. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
